Bring your family and enjoy food, games, and live music for the whole family. Enjoy live music, taste your way through our Chili Cook-Off, and take part in a special one-time event — The Amazing Race through 7 historic sites related to our 150 year history in Oceanside! The carnival starts at 12 pm and ends at 3 pm.

Join us on Sunday, November 23, as we celebrate 150 years of faith, community, and organizing for justice! This special anniversary service will feature guest speakers, inspiring worship, and moments of reflection as we honor our past and look forward to the future God is calling us into.
The Queer Committee (QueerCom!) collaborates to create safe, affirming, & enriching faith spaces for members of the LGBTQ community in accordance with these specific values, practices, and priorities of our church to “become a more empowering community for women, people of color, persons with disabilities, and LGBTQ+ persons.”

Join us for a discussion with David Gushee, author of The Moral Teachings of Jesus, for our December Book Club Zoom: “The growing movement of post-evangelicalism highlights an opportunity to elevate and center the moral teachings of Jesus. So many of those who identify as Christian intuitively know that their old version of faith is no longer working, and they feel a theological vacuum.”
On November 21, 1875 thirteen pioneering souls started a small family church in a one-room schoolhouse near Mission San Luis Rey in what is now Oceanside, California. They called it simply, The Christian Church at San Luis Rey because it was one of the first congregations of The Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) denomination in Southern California.
The biblical narrative is often dominated by a few famous names, but what about the countless others whose stories are just as powerful? Join us starting Sunday, September 7th, at 10 am for our new fall teaching series that will explore the Bible in a whole new light.
We have some wonderful news to share about two new additions to the OSC staff: first we are excited to announce that long-time church member CJ Palmer is joining our staff as the part-time Interim Family Minister, helping guide and grow our programs for children and youth.
