Help Us Envision The Next Issue Campaigns & Actions For Justice Works in 2022
Our Justice Works Team is committed to organizing for action on issues that matter to the poor, oppressed, and marginalized in our community as an expression of the gospel. We partner with the Faith In Action Network, PICO California, and The San Diego Organizing Project, along with other communities of faith and local justice organizations to advocate for local policy changes in three main areas: police reform, homelessness, and climate change.
You are invited to join us for our Justice Works vision meeting on Zoom Feb 27 from 1:30 PM to 3 PM
After the success of our recent Live Free Oceanside campaign in partnership with other congregations, it’s time to establish the next steps for our ministry. At this meeting, we will:
Review our past efforts, campaigns, and actions
Review how the community organizing model works toward creating local change for the common good
Learn what other churches are doing and how Justice Works and OSC might fit into those efforts
Revisit our priorities and how they relate to emerging opportunities
Decide on next steps for this ministry.
