Sarah’s Hope: The Little Pantry That Could!

Sarah's Hope has now become a drive-though providing boxes of food for families and seniors in a safe and effective way.

We have a lean volunteer staff who work hard to bring great healthy options to our guests in a safe and systematic way; Guests simply pop their trunks or walk up and we put the food into their cars or baby carriages/baskets. It's been so fun and fulfilling to serve folks during this time of need. I get love notes of gratitude via text every week!

I would like to thank Feeding San Diego for stepping up and providing us a delivery of free shelf stable food every two weeks. And a special thanks to both Trader Joe’s and West Marine for donating bags to keep us all virus free. AND we are so thankful for your donations, as they have allowed us to purchase bulk products when they are available and pay volunteers gas money for driving all over tim-buck-two picking up donated food.

We received new sandwich board street signs that let people know the drive through is open, and not only is it helpful to our pantry guests, but our neighbors now drive by and honk or yell "thank you!" We even have a cyclist that comes by the church on Monday with her little basket full of toilet paper for me to add, like jewels, into a few bags for lucky guest.
