Last month we kicked-off a new ministry at OSC with our back-to-school resource fair. It went so well, we’ve decided to host these fairs every quarter over the next year and that means we need lots of help planning and coordinating!
Can you help with the Sunday welcome team?
We still have a few spots for volunteers on our Sunday welcome team! Members of this team serve about one Sunday per month. They create a welcoming environment by setting up the coffee cart, offering a friendly face for people as the arrive, and handing out bulletins and communion cups. We provide all the supplies, you just show up a little early once each months and help welcome people as they arrive.

Recently the OSC Board of Elders met and unanimously agreed to extend our current Mission Commitment through December 2025. Sunday gathering for Aug 20th cancelled due to tropical storm Hilary
As of 4 PM PST today, Friday August 18th, hurricane Hilary seems to have adjusted course for a direct hit on the San Diego area. Even though it will likely be downgraded to a tropical storm by Sunday, it is still expected to bring 40-70 mph winds, severe flooding, and likely power outages Sunday and Monday.
