Pantry Assistant Lead Volunteer Needed

Looking for a way to make a direct impact on our neighborhood?

Sarah’s Hope Pantry is looking for a lead volunteer pastry assistant to work with Jenell Coker, Sarah’s Hope Director in this important ministry. Sarah’s Hope serves about 100 hungry families in our neighborhood every month with fresh and shelf-stable food donated from local grocery stores and purchased from our food bank partner, Feeding San Diego.

Volunteer must be:

  • Willing and able to follow COVID protocols to protect the health of other volunteers and pantry guests

  • In good health, able to lift up to 25 lbs, walk up and down stairs with ease

  • Outgoing, friendly, and patient with both fellow volunteers and pantry guests

  • A good problem solver, able to manage a fast-paced environment

  • Able to take over for the pantry director when she is not available

  • Available Mondays from 11 AM to 2:30 PM
