Easter weekend at OSC was special in more ways than one. It was our first ever hybrid (both online & in-person) Easter gathering, and our first in-person Easter service since 2019! Altogether we estimate roughly 200 people (94 in person & 102 online) worshipped together from at least 4 counties — San Diego, Orange, Riverside, and Ventura Counties.
New Community Group Interest Lunch
Community Groups are a new ministry launching soon at OSC where people from the same neighborhood or city come together regularly for dinner, dialogue about faith, and a shared mission for impacting their community. It’s great way to build friendships, grow in your spirituality, and make a difference for good. Just like OSC at-large, our Community Groups will be guided by our three core values: inclusive community, relational spirituality, and organizing for justice.
COVID Update: We are back to in-person church Sunday, Feb 13 at 11 AM!
We are excited to return to in-person worship gatherings this Sunday, Feb 13th at 11 AM. As we suspected, Omicron cases are dropping as quickly as they rose. This week, new COVID cases in the country were down to 200,000 from the high of over 1 million just a few weeks ago. As we suspected, that puts us back down to the levels of the third week of December.

That’s why we are so excited to launch our new therapeutic group experience called, Processing Religious Trauma.

Our Impact As a Congregation In 2021
As we near the end of the second year of a global pandemic, I am amazed by the resilience, passion, and impact of this church. I can honestly say that, at least for the 6 years I have served as pastor, we have never been healthier than we are today. The end of the year means it’s time for our year-end fund drive…
